| Q. | What is the policy on order changes or cancellation? |
| A. | Once we
accept a deposit, we make a commitment to build you the finest new five
string banjo available in today's market. We take this commitment
seriously and will use the deposit we receive to begin production right
away. We understand the commitment from the new owner in this same
light
As such, we ask that orders not be placed lightly. A cancellation charge of up to 15% will be charged at our discretion for orders which are cancelled after a deposit is received, barring unusual or exceptional circumstances. We may also have to charge a change penalty should an order be changed dramatically in mid stream. Most changes can be made simply, and we will always strive to accommodate them as much as possible. Changes made soon after an order is placed are quite easily accommodated, and many late changes can be made with no penalty. If a banjo is ordered with substantial customization, and is changed after work has begun, we may end up with parts that we can not use on another Huber model, and a penalty will be charged to make a major change. We will also project a delivery time that we feel is realistic based on the current production schedule. We can not make an ironclad guarantee that we can hit this delivery projection, though we will make every effort to do so. Small shop instrument building is not at all like a large manufacturing operation, and unexpected problems are inclined to pop up. |
